Buying Your First Business

If you're looking to diversify your income or gain financial independence (and who isn't?), buying your own business is one of the strongest moves you can make.

And if you're looking to buy a business, you have a key advantage: you're a lawyer, and you know other lawyers.

So take advantage of your skillset and leverage it for further gains.

Join us to hear Vivek Jayaram of Jayaram Law walk us through the key legal documents and practical considerations to buy your first business.

What should be in a term sheet? What's a Stock Purchase Agreement? What happens after you close?

Vivek will demystify the process he's used to guide clients through acquisitions of small and medium businesses. All will be revealed.

Honestly, I can't believe we're giving this content away for free. Consider yourself fortunate.

Here are some of the businesses Vivek's team have helped clients with:

  1. Sale of cannabis company for $125,000;
  2. Sale of software business for $400,000;
  3. Sale of IT Services company for $900,000;
  4. Acquisition of a SaaS startup for $2,000,000;
  5. Acquisition of software company at $13,000,000;

  7. Sale of a division of a major hardware company, $25,000,000;

I'm excited about this, to say the least.

We have tremendous legal talent among the students in this community. I've advocated elsewhere for law students to take control of their career by building a brand early by publishing and building an audience.
